Fatal e la Terra
Attorno al 1300 un evento soprannaturale aprì dei passaggi tra due mondi lontani: il nostro e quello di Fatal. In seguito a ciò, la Regina di Fatal scomparve e alcuni incantatori del suo pianeta giunsero sulla Terra.
I cinque portali di collegamento presenti in Europa diedero origine ad altrettante stirpi magiche: Flambeaux (Parigi), Aquaté (Brno), Terranova (Roma), Ångbåt (Tallinn), Lichtenborn (Norimberga). Cinque famiglie che nei secoli hanno oscillato fra la guerra aperta e una pace armata, ma che mai sono entrate in armonia tra loro.
Da allora gli incantatori hanno influenzato la politica, l’arte e la scienza dei popoli della Terra: direttamente, o ispirando e controllando gli umani utili alla loro causa.
La profezia
Alla fine degli anni 70 dello scorso secolo, un incantatore dei Flambeaux, Jean de la Court, decifrò un’antica profezia, scoprendo che nel 2012 si sarebbe verificata un’altra catastrofe cosmica: l’eclissi senza fine, i cui effetti sui due mondi potrebbero essere drammatici.
Jean, guida dei Flambeaux, decise di provare a fermare l’eclissi, mentre la sorella Violette progettò di sfruttare la catastrofe per governare l’Europa intera tramite una guerra decisiva.
Jean avviò il suo piano con l’aiuto di un incantatore dei Terranova, e scomparve, lasciando a Violette la guida dei Flambeaux.
Oggi
Nel 2007 tutte le stirpi hanno ormai scoperto che l’eclissi incombe sul loro destino.
Kerkush, giovane guida degli Ångbåt, sente di essere predestinata a pacificare le famiglie, che insieme potranno fermare la catastrofe.
Violette de la Court, al contrario, prepara segretamente alla guerra le forze dei Flambeaux.
I Terranova credono al prossimo ritorno della Regina e raccolgono gli antichi artefatti nascosti dalle stirpi all’epoca della prima catastrofe, per fargliene dono.
Aquaté e Lichtenborn hanno invece problemi più vicini: i primi devono vedersela con la minaccia di una setta oscura e malefica, mentre gli altri, perdute le loro guide in un misterioso e tragico incidente, dovrebbero ora seguire i due giovanissimi figli degli incantatori uccisi, Hans e Fritz Lichtenborn.
Jean de la Court, dopo oltre 20 anni, sembra essere tornato: invia un cd e un breve messaggio alla sorella Violette. Questa incarica il suo miglior agente, Cliv des Moines, di scovarlo e impedirgli di ostacolare i piani dei Flambeaux…

Fatal and the Earth
Around 1300 a supernatural event opened a few breaches between two distant worlds: ours and the world of Fatal. Following this, the Queen of Fatal disappeared and a few enchanters left that world and arrived on Earth.
The five breaches in Europe gave origin to as many magic birth-signs: Flambeaux (Paris), Aquaté (Brno), Terranova (Rome), Ångbåt (Tallinn), Lichtenborn (Nuremberg). Five families who over the centuries kept wavering between open war and armed peace, but who never lived in harmony.
Since then, the enchanters have influenced humans politics, arts and science: either directly or by inspiring and taking control over all humans who were useful for their cause.
The Prophecy
In the late seventies of last century one of the Flambeaux enchanters, Jean de la Court, succeeded in deciphering an ancient prophecy, discovering that in 2012 another cosmic catastrophe would occur: the never-ending eclipse, that might have disastrous consequences in both worlds.
Jean, guide of the Flambeaux, decided to try and stop the eclipse, while his sister Violette wanted to use it as an excuse to start a decisive war, with the goal of taking over Europe.
Jean started working at his plan with the help of a Terranova enchanter, and disappeared, leaving Violette as the new guide of the Flambeaux.
Today
By 2007 all birth-signs are aware the eclipse is hanging over their fate.
Kerkush, young guide of the Ångbåts, feels she is destined to reconcile all families: together, they will have enough strength to stop the eclipse.
Violette de la Court, on the contrary, is secretly getting the Flambeaux ready for a war.
The Terranovas believe the return of the Queen to be imminent, and start recollecting the old artefacts the birth-signs hid at the time of the first catastrophe, ready to offer them as gifts to the Queen.
The Aquatés and the Lichtenborns have more impending problems: the first ones have to face the menace of an obscure and evil sect, while the others, having lost their guides in a mysterious and tragic accident, are now supposed to follow Hans and Fritz Lichtenborn, the two very young sons of the murdered enchanters.
Jean de la Court seems to be back, after more than 20 years: he sends a CD and a short message to his sister Violette. She gives her best agent, Cliv des Moines, the task of finding Jean and stopping him from opposing the plans of the Flambeaux.
